Research Interests:
Catalysis and metal-mediated organic synthesis.
Polymerization reactions and development of polymerization catalysts.
Development of environmentally friendly synthetic processes.
Reaction mechanisms.

Author of about 70 papers and several book chapters including two major works such as the “Encyclopedia of Inorganic Chemistry” (“Palladium: Inorganic & Coordination Chemistry” , 1st and 2nd editions) and Comprehensive Organometallic Chemistry III (“Palladium-Carbon π-Bonded Complexes”, Elsevier, 2006).

Invited speaker in conferences both national (RSEQ-GEQO meetings and biannual RSEQ conferences) and international (3rd EUCHEMS Chemistry Congress, XXV International Conference on Organometallic Chemistry), she has also been involved in the organization of chemistry meetings (XIX Reunión GEQO, Convenor in the 6th EUCHEMS Chemistry Congress).

Current member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry (Wiley-VCH) and of the International Advisory Board of Organometallics (ACS). President of the Organometallic Chemistry Group (GEQO) of the RSEQ (former positions in the GEQO as secretary 1995-2002 and vicepresident 2010-2014). Former member of the executive board of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ, 2006-2012). She has also been the chemistry coordinator of the Spanish National Evaluation Agency (ANEP) 2012-2015.

She has been recognized as Chemistry Europe Fellow.
